We have “Umbrella Arcade” again this year at the 150-meter-long corridor on Piment Street. In addition to the 150-meter-long arcade using umbrellas to express the color tones of red and white wines gradually, we have the "Yatsugatake Umbrella Sky 2019" decorating the sky with umbrellas set in various height up to 10 meters (32.8 ft) to create an area with umbrellas dancing to the sky. The scenery made with about 300 umbrellas will make you want to go out and look at the sky even during the rainy season. (June 1 to July 7)
In the square at the center of the street, we set the umbrellas up to about 10 meters (32.8 ft) high from the ground and the embellishment of dancing umbrellas in the sky overhead. The umbrellas are set with various height and colors, as opposed to order of the arcade. Even during the gloomy rainy season, Piment Street is still filled with the exciting scenery making you want to look up the sky.
The kitchen car opens on Piment Street in rainy days. It is said that it is suitable for drinking wine on rainy days because the fragrance of wine rises more with moisture and your olfactory sense becomes more sensitive. The kitchen car has the wines made of grapes such as Sauvignon Blanc, reminiscent of citrus scent and fresh herbs, Pinot Noir, with rich fruit flavor and feeling of freshness, Koshu, with fresh and rich taste, etc. for you to enjoy the fragrance.
