After skiing, come to “Yukimuro Wine Bar” which is open on Piment Street when Snow Resort Town is held. Inspired by “Yukimuro”, the unique culture in the snowy country that fully utilizes the winter coldness, an original wine cellar packed with snow will be set up at the bar. The wine lineup includes late-harvest wines and orange wines, etc. Their flavors will increase after being gently cooling by the power of snow. The hot fritters are also provided for you to enjoy with the cold wines. Enjoy the wines with the one-bite-sized fritters made with root vegetables that stored sweetness through the coldness of winter or rich foie gras, etc. (Jan. 25 to Mar. 1)
Yukimuro (literally "snow room") is the “natural refrigerator” from a pearl of wisdom unique to the snowy country. It stores and uses the accumulated snow during the winter til summer. The room temperature is at about 0 °C (32 °F), and it has long been used in the snowy country to store food such as rice, alcoholic drinks, and vegetables. Yukimuro Wine Bar is inspired by the unique culture in the snowy country that fully utilizes the winter coldness and enjoys it.
The original wine cellar packed with snow stores wines and makes them taste better when chilled. For example, the sweet wine “Essence de Koshu Chateau Mercian” (Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture) made with highly-ripe late-harvest grapes can be enjoyed with a richer aroma when chilled. The slightly orange-colored wine "Orange Gris Mars Winery (Nirasaki City, Yamanashi Prefecture)" will change to a milder taste. Besides, you can taste the dessert wine “HYOSAKU Izutsu Wine (Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture)” brewed with frozen harvested grapes, a precious creature of winter.
At Yukimuro Wine Bar, you can also enjoy the hot fritters fried after you order. There are about ten kinds of fritters, such as root vegetables like carrots that stored sweetness through the coldness of winter and potatoes with soft and fluffy texture, melting cheese in crispy crust, and apples with gentle sweetness. In the wine and fritter set, we combine the rich and fruity “GABU Lumiere Winery (Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture)” with the luxurious fritters made with rich foie gras and truffle.
The illumination will be lit up, and the smoke will rise from the warm wood stove at dusk on Piment Street with the 150-meter stone cloisters. Yukimuro Wine Bar will open in the center of Piment Street. You can drop in before dinner or after fully enjoying skiing and enjoy the standing drink at the wine barrel tables under your ski wear
